Ostrich Dog Treats – Delicious and Hypoallergenic for Dogs with Sensitive Stomachs

We are kind of excited to share our experience with a new range of dog treats called Treatich. These treats are 100% ostrich and include trachea, lung, heart, tendon, and gizzard. Our Challenge with Beaux’s Diet

Beaux has a very limited diet due to his food sensitivities. Finding treats that he can tolerate has been a real challenge. We feed him an imported special diet and import his treats to ensure they had no additives that will upset his tummy. So, when we heard about Treatich, we were cautiously optimistic. The idea of locally produced, single-protein treats sounded perfect, but we needed to see if Beaux would actually tolerate them.

First Impressions and Quality

The first thing we noticed about Treatich was how much Beaux liked them. He is not a hugely food motivated dog, so the fact that he genuinely liked these was a great start. These treats are dried and pretty easy to pull apart or break into smaller pieces, except for the trachea, which comes in one piece. The treats themselves are just the right have a natural smell of dried meat.

Sustainability and Local Production

We love that Treatich is a sustainable product. By using parts of the ostrich that aren’t typically sold, the company is reducing waste and making the most out of each animal. Plus, supporting a local business in Yucatán is important to us. It’s great to know that we’re helping to support the local economy and reduce our carbon footprint by not having to import treats from abroad.

Beaux’s Reaction

But the real test was Beaux. Would his sensitive stomach tolerate these new treats? We took it slowly. Anyone who has a dog with a sensitive stomach knows that they never want to create problems when the dog is healthy and stable. Additionally, Beaux is huge (52 kgs and growing), so if he gets diarrhea, it is a real mess.

We gave him small pieces daily for a few days with no bad reactions. We gradually increased the number of treats used and now we’re happy to report that Treatich passed with flying colors! Beaux loves them. He gets excited when he sees one of the bags, and there has been no upset stomach, no itching.
