GRRRover Reporter Apollo – Hyatt Hotel Welcomes Smaller Dogs (and their humans too!)

I would like to welcome a review from our first GRRRover Reporter. Big thanks to the gorgeous Apollo and his human for writing this most excellent hotel review. I’m especially happy they did this because of the size restrictions at the Hyatt, I wouldn’t have been able to check it out.

Roving Reporter Apollo here!

I’m helping my good friend Sir Rodders’ Pet Friendly Yucatan with some reviews of local pet friendly hotels!!

My mom and I recently stayed at Hyatt Regency Merida and had a great time!! They were very friendly and gave me some nice pats on the head! They have a special floor (the 6th) dedicated to rooms for people with pets, with some very nice rooms.

The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. My mom had some yummy room service! (She let me have a strawberry from her breakfast fruit plate and it was very scrumptious) We had a great view of the pool area but unfortunately dogs are not allowed in that area so I did not get to do a closer inspection.

There are some great areas to go potty right in-front of the hotel and we were only a block away from Paseo de Montejo where there are several pet friendly areas and cafes.

Apollo checks out the snazzy reception area.

Unfortunately, they do have a rule that you have to be under 50lbs to stay there. Thankfully I am 48lbs so I was able to get by. The good news is that they do not discriminate against breeds, and they had no problem with me being a pit bull! As long as you are friendly and well behaved you are welcome to stay! They do have a $60US pet fee. Overall if you are looking for a little bit of luxury for you and your human it is a great place to stay!!!

If you would like to help out other pet owners in Yucatan and want to submit a GRRRover Report on a hotel, restaurant or any other pet friendly business, just send me a message.

Great way to human watch.
